Jeff free from jail!
Jeff was released late last night after two days in Orange County Jail. At his sentencing he plead “Guilty as charged and proud of it!” The befuddled judge gave him time served.

Jeff was arrested Wednesday morning after an all night sit in at the office of Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Santa Ana). He and the five other arrestees were asking Rep. Sanchez to sign a statement agreeing to vote against funding the war. Jeff refused to sign a document promising to appear in court and was sent to jail to await his Thursday sentencing. He is dedicating his jail time to the memory of the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and to the memory of the friend and mentor of the LACW Ladon Sheats, on the 5th anniversary of his death.

Our summer interns are here! We are happy to welcome them into our community and our guests at the kitchen appreciate the cheer they add to the meals that we serve. In the photo from left to right: Chris Scott, Natalie Boydston, Jodi Granado, Mariah Schoppman and Chris Rooney.
The Photos for the May 19th Vandenberg Vigil are up. Five people were arrested including Jeff Dietrich and Mike Wisniewski from the LACW and Dennis Appel from the Guadalupe CW.
If you missed it, please feel free to come visit some other time!
I’ve added some new photo albums of recent Catholic Worker events.
Last weekend Jeff gave a talk on Paul Shepard, author of the book Nature and Madness, at the Bartimaeus Community in Oak View. It was attended by Catholic Workers from LA and Guadalupe as well as Members of the Oak View extended community. Click here for pictures of the event.

Late once again, but here it is anyway.
