Skid Row Art

IMG_2932 A skid row artist recently painted three beautiful renderings of Mumia Abul Jamal, Malcomb X, and what he views as the Queen of Los Angeles, on the electrical box in front of our soup kitchen on Sixth Street and Gladys Ave. See two other photos HERE.

I’ve had the honor of being of service to the community along side other Catholic Worker volunteers and it made this art sooo much more moving than a mere picture on the internet. Go there, do the work, see the beauty.
