The LACW has a booth (#482) at the L.A. Archdiocese Religious Education Congress held at the Anaheim Convention Center on February 22, 23 & 24. We will debut a new T-shirt and hand out a free beautiful color bookmark quoting Catholic Worker co-founder Dorothy Day: “Don’t Call Me a Saint. I Don’t Want to be Dismissed That Easily.” in response to the U.S. bishops effort to canonize Dorothy and subvert her life and message to fit the conservative right-wing agenda. This follows on the lead articles in the February 2013 issue of the Catholic Agitator. The excellent documentary with the same name–“Don’t Call Me a Saint.”–also will be available for sale (see: DOROTHY DAY DOC and view the TRAILER), as will Jeff’s book “Broken and Shared”, along with other T-shirts, a Catholic Worker Primer, and copies of the Catholic Agitator. If you are attending the Congress or happen to be near Disneyland, please stop by the booth, which is at the back of the main isle.
