August Agitator
Here’s the August issue of the Catholic Agitator.
In this issue:
- Declaring a Cease Fire in the Drug War by Jeff Dietrich
- Summer Program Letter of Thanks by Marie Roper
- Vigil by Grace Hill-Speed
- The Drug War: Declaring War on the Poor by Earnest Savage
- In Mexico, A War On Drugs Is A War On People by Faustino Cruz
- Out Of Africa by David Omondi

Dear Workers,
Hello to all from a past intern. I remember when you didn’t even want to be online, now you are one.
This issue about the drug problem put it well. I agree with you that treating drug abuse as a medical problem would change the world for the better. Obama should have declared an amnesty when he entered office.
I especially noted the Pew survey that showed people who attend church regularly tended to favor torture over those who do not attend. Something to think about.
David’s article about life in Kenya was very valuable to me. I am returning to Haiti soon for a short trip. I could easily see the word “Haiti” substituted for “Kenya” in much of that story.
I think Fr. Cabot was getting arrested in the first issue of the AGITATOR I ever read!
Always good to see everyone carrying on carrying on.
Shalom,
Gary Novak
