I wish I had the ability to attend the protests. I am one without a car, and who works 7 days a week.
I can squeeze time in the middle of the day, but have no rideshare opportunities.
On that March day of the protest, I sat in a broken-down RTA bus (SLO County-wide bus) with about
8 other folks who needed to get somewhere on a Sunday. Our County consists of the California National
Guard headquarters and at its tip, is a few miles from Vandenberg. We don’t spend money on schools, health
care, true low income housing, and sustainable transportation. Instead we place a whole lot of money and
resources into the military-industrial complex.

SO, rarely can I get to the base, but I suggest some of us think about protesting the aerospace corporations.
Cal Poly and Santa Maria are regional offices of Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Booz-Allen. It’s time we visit the
makers of the weapons.
