Jeff free from jail!
Jeff was released late last night after two days in Orange County Jail. At his sentencing he plead “Guilty as charged and proud of it!” The befuddled judge gave him time served.

I want to publicly thank Jeff for his courageous actions, not only in protesting funding for the Iraq occupation at the office
of Rep. Loretta Sanchez, but also for choosing jail in an attempt to end the this illegal occupation. He is a very brave man!

Thank you, Jeff, for doing what many of us aren’t often brave enough to do. You did what you felt was the right thing and made your feelings heard throughout the Catholic Worker community, and beyond.
Those of us who volunteer each month from American Martyrs talked about what you all were trying to accomplish when we last saw you and heard about your participation in this demonstration during our last visit. It has raised the issue among us as well and we are praying for you always to be safe and be strong.
