Thousands March in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Catholic Workers in May Day Immigrant Rights March

Several members of the Los Angeles Catholic Worker joined the thousands who marched down Broadway to city hall in support of immigrant rights, and oposition to any proposed anti-immigrant legislation. I was able to climb on top of a newspaper vending maching and was able to take a few photos of the massive crowd. The community members were joined this morning by our friend Bob Gomez from Dolores Mission Church and Pius O’Neill who flew in to Los Angeles yesterday and plans to stay with us for at least a month. What a warm welcome to our city it was. Photos of the event can be seen at: http://lacatholicworker.org/g/Los_Angeles_Immigrant_Rights_March/

  1. I went to the Chicago may day march. The route went by the haymarket tradgey memorial, a rather poignant anarchist moment.
